Salesforce to Zoho CRM Migration

How Axithorn moves a UK business from Salesforce to Zoho CRM: map the objects, clean the data, import in a safe order, and reconcile before cut-over.

Approach

Map, cleanse, migrate, verify

The services page already describes migration in four steps. This guide applies those steps to Salesforce.

Map

Audit Salesforce objects, fields, automations and integrations, and design the Zoho structure.

Cleanse

Deal with duplicates, dead records and inconsistent values before they are imported.

Migrate

Staged imports of accounts, contacts, deals, activities, notes and attachments, with validation at each stage.

Verify

Parallel running and reconciliation before cut-over, so the old system is still there until the new one checks out.

Zoho documents the import path in Migrate data from Salesforce (Zoho CRM help). Mandatory fields for each module are listed in Zoho's data migration overview.

Projects range from around a month to 12 months or more, depending on scope. Smaller migrations are often around a month. Larger multi-app or complex projects take 12 months or more.

Object mapping

Salesforce objects and the Zoho CRM modules Zoho lists

The table uses Zoho's own Salesforce migration article (the modules it says can be migrated) and the mandatory fields in Zoho's migration overview. It is a starting map for a UK CRM, not a promise that every custom Salesforce field has a twin.

SalesforceZoho CRMWhat Zoho's help supports
AccountAccountsAccounts is a listed migration module. Account Name is mandatory.
ContactContactsContacts is listed. Last Name is mandatory.
LeadLeadsLeads is listed. Last Name is mandatory. Converted leads are a mapping decision, not an automatic copy.
OpportunityDealsZoho's Salesforce migration lists Deals, not Opportunities. Deal Name, Stage and Closing Date are mandatory. Stage values are mapped to the Zoho pipeline; they are not assumed to match.
TaskTasksActivities include Tasks. Subject is mandatory.
EventEventsActivities include Events. Title is mandatory.
Call (where stored as an activity)CallsZoho lists Calls separately. Subject and Call Type are mandatory. Salesforce orgs store calls in different places, so this row is confirmed in the field map.
CampaignCampaignsCampaigns is a listed module. Campaign Name is mandatory.
NoteNotesNotes is a listed module and is attached to the parent record.

Zoho's article also lists Users, Attachments, Products, Quotes, Sales Orders, Invoices, Cases, Solutions, Vendors, Price Books, Purchase Orders and Competitors. Whether each one is in scope depends on what the Salesforce org actually uses. Custom objects are recreated as Zoho modules or left behind; that choice is part of the map.

Cleansing and cut-over

Duplicates, unused records and inconsistent picklists are cleaned before import. Users are migrated and checked first, because record ownership points at them. Accounts are imported before the contacts and deals that look up to them, which matches the order Zoho's help uses when it tells you to check users, then leads, accounts and contacts.

Zoho's data migration moves records into those modules. Apex, Flow and Process Builder are not records in the list above, so that behaviour is rebuilt in Zoho using workflows, Blueprint and Deluge. The services page already includes Deluge functions, blueprints and validation rules as implementation work.

Cut-over is a final pass after parallel running and a reconciliation, not a silent switch. Downtime, if any, is agreed in the plan. This page does not state a number of hours.

A named Salesforce migration already on the site

The testimonials page includes Fitronics, captioned as a Salesforce to Zoho migration across multiple departments. The quote describes a complex migration from Salesforce. Read the testimonials.

Other written case studies show the same kind of CRM build, without being Salesforce projects: Hopewiser (spreadsheets to Zoho One), Zing Events and Newton Print. HubSpot and spreadsheet migrations use the same four steps; the object names differ.

Questions about Salesforce to Zoho

Can you migrate Salesforce to Zoho CRM in the UK?
Yes. Migration from Salesforce, HubSpot and spreadsheets is a core Axithorn service. Objects, fields and historical data are mapped, imported in a controlled sequence, and checked with parallel running before cut-over.
Which Salesforce objects map to which Zoho CRM modules?
Zoho's Salesforce migration help lists Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Deals, Campaigns, Notes, Activities (Tasks, Events and Calls), and several other modules. Salesforce Opportunities correspond to Zoho Deals. The field-by-field map for a given org is confirmed during the project, not assumed from this table.
What does not come across automatically?
Zoho's data migration imports records into CRM modules. Apex, Flow and Process Builder are not records in those modules, so that behaviour is rebuilt in Zoho with workflows, Blueprint and Deluge. Attachments are supported by Zoho's migration list, but each file still has to be included in the migration files.
Is there a published Salesforce migration case study?
The testimonials page includes Fitronics, captioned as a Salesforce to Zoho migration across multiple departments. The written case studies cover other CRM and Zoho One projects, including Hopewiser (spreadsheets to Zoho One), and are linked from this page where they show the same mapping and cut-over approach.
How long does a Salesforce to Zoho migration take?
Projects range from around a month to 12 months or more, depending on scope. Smaller migrations are often around a month. Larger multi-app or complex projects take 12 months or more.
