1. Who we are
This website, www.axithorn.com, is operated by Axithorn Limited ("Axithorn", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England & Wales under company number 15982267. Our registered office is 61 Willow Walk, Honiton, Devon, EX14 2FY, United Kingdom.
Axithorn Limited is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration reference ZB924348. Our data protection contact is James Welch-Thornton, Managing Director, reachable at info@axithorn.com.
2. What personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. We do not require you to create an account, and browsing this website does not require you to submit any personal data.
Contact form and get-started questionnaire
When you use our contact form or get-started questionnaire, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, company name, email address, phone number, job title, and details of your enquiry (for example, current systems, business needs, timelines, and any message you write to us).
Savings calculator
Our savings calculator runs entirely within your browser. Figures you enter (such as employee numbers and the tools you currently use) are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your device, so the tool can show a comparison and, if you continue to our get-started questionnaire, pre-fill relevant fields. This data is not transmitted to us unless you go on to submit the get-started questionnaire, at which point it is included in that submission.
Information collected automatically
At present, this website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and does not automatically log visitor-level browsing data to any third-party analytics platform. Our web hosting provider may retain standard server access logs (such as IP address, browser type and requested pages) for security and operational purposes; these are not linked to any other personal data we hold about you. See section 7 for more detail, and note that this may change if we introduce analytics tools in future, in which case this policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated accordingly.
3. How we use your data
We use the personal data you provide to:
- respond to your enquiry and provide the information, quotation or consultation you have requested;
- prepare for and deliver Zoho consultancy, implementation, and support services if you engage us;
- maintain records of our correspondence and business relationship with you;
- send you information you have specifically requested (for example, a case study or pricing detail);
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including accounting and tax requirements.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4. Our lawful basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries you send us and to manage our client relationships, where this does not override your rights and interests.
- Contract — where we need to process your data to perform a consultancy engagement or agreement with you or your organisation.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or disclose information to comply with the law, for example financial record-keeping.
- Consent — in the limited circumstances where we ask for it specifically, which you may withdraw at any time.
5. Sharing your data with third parties
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to help us run this website and manage client relationships. These include:
- Zoho Corporation — form submissions from this website (contact form and get-started questionnaire) are delivered via Zoho Flow to our Zoho CRM, hosted on Zoho's UK/EU data centres, where we manage our sales pipeline and client records.
- Zoho Catalyst — this website itself is hosted on Zoho's Catalyst platform.
We do not share your personal data with any other third party for their own marketing purposes, and we do not sell personal data. We may disclose personal data if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
6. International transfers
The service providers listed above process data primarily within the UK and European Economic Area. Where any processing takes place outside the UK/EEA, our providers are required to have appropriate safeguards in place, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, to ensure your data continues to receive an equivalent level of protection.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
This website currently sets no non-essential tracking or advertising cookies. The only technology of this kind we use is browser local storage for the savings calculator, described in section 2. Full detail is available in our Cookie Policy.
8. How long we keep your data
We retain enquiry and questionnaire data for as long as is necessary to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of our engagement plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting, and contractual obligations. Where we have no ongoing relationship or legal reason to retain your data, we will delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time; see section 9.
9. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- be informed about how your data is used (as set out in this policy);
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data, where applicable;
- request that we restrict or object to certain processing;
- request a portable copy of data you have provided to us;
- withdraw consent at any time, where consent is our lawful basis.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 13. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
10. Notice for California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you additional rights over personal information collected by businesses. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond providing our services. California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold, request deletion or correction of it, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the details in section 13.
11. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and professional audiences. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices, the services we offer, or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
13. Contact us
