Zoho AI and Zia, set up to be used
Axithorn is a UK Zoho Premium Partner and Zoho AI Enabled Partner that sets up Zoho's built-in AI, Zia, and connects external models such as OpenAI and Claude where they do the job better. Most of the value comes from clean CRM data and clear processes, so we fix those first.
What Zia does in Zoho
Zoho describes Zia as its AI assistant, with Zia Agents, Zia Chat and Zia Skills across its apps. See Zoho's Zia page for the current list.
On this site's analytics and AI section, the Zia work we describe is:
- Lead conversion prediction.
- Contact-time suggestions.
- Forecasting.
- Anomaly detection.
- Sentiment analysis.
- Natural-language questions in Zoho Analytics.
- Drafting assistance.
Which of these you can use depends on your Zoho apps and plan.
When to add OpenAI or Claude
External models suit language-heavy tasks such as drafting, summarising and extracting details from text. Their data handling differs from Zia's, so we minimise the data sent and check the provider's terms first.
Zia Agents and MCP
Agents carry out defined tasks within defined permissions. MCP, an open standard described at modelcontextprotocol.io, lets AI assistants query connected tools and data, including Zoho.
Zoho documents its own features on zoho.com/zia. We link to Zoho rather than restating product details here.
Data first
Before any AI work we audit fields, duplicates and automations. Clean data and clear processes decide how useful the output is. Related work: Zoho CRM implementation and Zoho support.
