Most engagements follow four steps. They sit inside the five-stage process used across the site: Discover; Audit & Design; Build & Migrate; Train & Launch; Support & Optimise.

  • Audit. A fixed-scope AI readiness audit ranks the use cases.
  • Build a first use case. One focused milestone, quoted as a fixed price.
  • Train and launch. Your team learns on its own data.
  • Support and extend. Run it, then add the next use case.

Projects range from short fixed pieces to multi-month programmes.

AI work touches your data, so the controls come first. We design for UK GDPR and agree these points before building:

  • Send the minimum data to external models.
  • Respect existing user permissions.
  • Keep human review for decisions that have consequences.

What does an AI consultant do for a small business?
An AI consultant works out where AI will save time or improve decisions in your business, then helps build and run it. At Axithorn that means an audit of your processes and data, a prioritised list of use cases, building the first one into your existing systems, training your team and supporting it afterwards.
How much does AI consultancy cost?
It depends on scope. Axithorn starts most engagements with a fixed-price AI readiness audit, then quotes any build as a fixed price before work starts. Our guide to UK AI consultant costs explains typical market ranges.
Do we need to use Zoho?
No. We are a Zoho Premium Partner and often build AI into Zoho, but we also work with OpenAI, Claude, MCP and other tools, and connect to systems outside Zoho.
Is our data safe with AI tools?
We design for UK GDPR: minimum data sent to external models, existing user permissions respected, human review where decisions matter, and a written policy for how AI is used.
How long does a first AI project take?
A readiness audit is short and fixed in scope. A first use case is usually scoped as one focused milestone. Wider programmes are phased.
Do you work on-site?
Yes. We are based in Exeter and work on-site across the UK, including the South West, as well as remotely.
